AI & Personalization
Audacity Music uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to power features such as personalized playlists, mood-based radio, genre discovery, and listening trend analysis. Our AI systems process your listening history and behavioral signals to generate recommendations.
Key facts about how our AI uses your data:
- Your listening data is processed on our secure servers and is not shared with third-party AI providers in identifiable form
- You may opt out of AI-driven personalization at any time in Settings → Personalization; you will still receive the Service but with non-personalized discovery features
- AI-generated recommendations do not involve solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects
- We do not use your listening data to infer sensitive attributes such as political views, health conditions, or religious beliefs
05

- Service Providers — trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service (cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics, customer support), bound by confidentiality agreements
- Music Rights Holders — aggregated, anonymized listening data shared with record labels and publishers for royalty reporting purposes. No personal identifiers are included
- Business Transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you via email and/or prominent in-app notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy
- Legal Requirements — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Audacity Music, our users, or the public
- With Your Consent — for any other purpose with your explicit consent
Our third-party service providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own marketing purposes.
